Kate Griffiths theatrical makeup artist talks about her work and how to break into the industry

We talk about how she started her work, the crazy places she’s worked and an ominous Bulgarian story! Kate did all of the practical SFX and makeup along with her assistant, Kailey Walker, for the film Hosts, which is where I met her. The directors, Richard Oakes and Adam Leader, were keen to have practical effects rather than rely on CGI, and Kate absolutely delivered.
